Sudoku Box Game from Rival Gaming

April 9, 2010

Sudoku is a crossword type activity in which numbers are filled in blank squares in a manner that the stated constraints are not violated. Because of the popularity of this activity Rival Gaming, the online gaming software developer, has introduced Sudoku Box Game in its portfolio. Sudoku Box Game can be accessed through the specialty games section in any online casino powered by Rival Gaming.

Obviously Sudoku Box Game cannot exactly replicate the crossword type activity but it gives online players a feel of what that activity is. The screen contains a large 3 x 3 matrix with nine cells set in a simple background of bamboo shoots that indicates the Japanese origin of Sudoku. Each cell contains a number from 1 to 9. When the Spin button is clicked each cell rotates independently and comes to rest with a number displayed. Since the cells are independent they can contain the same number as the other cells. In fact the payouts depend on how many cells have the same number. The pay table lists the payouts available to the player. The player has to match at least three numbers, in which event he receives a payout of 1 to 1. Players receive greater payouts for matching more numbers. For matching seven numbers the payout is 100 to 1, for matching eight numbers the payout is 500 to 1 and for matching nine numbers the payout is 2000 to 1.

The coin denomination wagered varies from $0.01 to $2.00. There are sufficient stops in between to suit bankrolls of all sizes. Players can wager up to five coins. As in online slot games, clicking on the Bet Max button automatically wagers the maximum number of coins and automatically sets the cells rotating. Players who wager five coins of $2 each will wager $10 per spin. If they hit six matched numbers the payout is 20 to 1. This will fetch them a total payout of $200.

Wagering five coins also has another advantage. Players are eligible for the jackpot prizes. If each cell has a different number, which implies that all the numbers from 1 to 9 appear once in any order, the jackpot payout is 500 coins. If the numbers from 1 to 9 appear in normal order then the jackpot payout is 50,000 coins. These payouts in coins are absolute payouts on the basis that five coins have been wagered. If the coin denomination selected is $2, then the jackpot of 50,000 coins is worth $100,000.

Some degree of customization is possible in the Sudoku Box Game. Players can select between two game speeds - slow and medium. The audio can be enabled or disabled. In this game the audio consists mainly of win sounds, which indicate that the player has received a payout. The volume of the audio can also be adjusted. Sudoku Box Game has an Auto feature that allows players to repeat the spins a specified number of times without manual intervention.

Sudoku Box Game is available in all Rival Gaming online casinos. Ruby Royal and Sloto’ Cash are the highly recommended ones.
