International Online Casinos

At one time the United States was the center of the online gambling industry and online casinos were geared to meet the demands of the American customer. This meant that the language of operations was English and the currency used was the U.S. Dollar. In Europe the only English speaking country is England. In the Far East Asian market there is no English speaking country. They were unable to comprehend the rules and terms and conditions to the fullest extent. Also they were uncomfortable at wagering funds in an environment that was not user friendly. Hence Playtech, Cryptologic and Microgaming developed online casinos in foreign languages. French, German and Italian were amongst the first foreign languages that online casinos operated in. The software remained the same only the text was translated. Hence the same high quality of gaming operations and other online functions was maintained. A bigger problem was customer support. It was impossible for players to explain their difficulties and get them resolved in an alien language. Therefore these international online casinos trained customer support staff in the native language of the players. The international casinos can be accessed from the lobby of the English language casino. Flags of different countries appear on the lobby and by clicking on the flag of a country the player is taken to the casino in the language of that country.  

A similar problem arose with the currency. Foreign players had to incur bank commissions every time they converted their deposits in local currencies to U.S. Dollars and their withdrawals from U.S. Dollars to their local currency. Added to this was the discomfort at wagering in an alien currency. Therefore the international online casinos operated by Playtech, Cryptologic and Microgaming started offering the players a choice of currency. The common currencies offered are Euros, British Pounds, U.S. Dollars and Canadian Dollars. However international online casinos that focus on other countries offer wagering in other currencies as well. The players are required to choose their preferred currency at the time of registration. An advantage of this system is that the bonuses are offered in the preferred currency so that players do not have to keep track of currency conversions.
