Landmark New Games at Bwin

April 30, 2010

Bwin Casino has just introduced two new games that are bound to attract traffic in the coming months. One is a slot game at its regular casino based on the evergreen film The Italian Job. The other is a skill based game at its games portal that aims to draw on the popularity of the Football World Cup.

The Italian Job slot game has been developed by Chartwell Technology. It is being released on the 40th anniversary of the cult movie. The Italian Job is a branded slot game created in conjunction with Paramount Pictures. This 9 payline slot game has eye-catching graphics from the movie and will be loved by those who have seen the film. The highlight of the slot game is a unique feature called “nine-line pick-a-prize tribute”. Bwin Casino is one of the first to offer this new game. Tomer Katz, head of product management at Bwin said, “The Italian Job is the first branded slot game and the new highlight within Bwin’s instant play casino offerings from our partner Chartwell.”

Software developer Chartwell and online casino Bwin have both realized the value of branded slot games that has been exploited so well by Cryptologic. The Italian Job will be followed by a series of branded slot games based on an agreement with Paramount Digital Entertainment, which is a division of Paramount Pictures. The next online slot game in this series will be Sleepy Hollow, which is based on the Academy Award winning movie. This also will have the nine-line pick-a-prize tribute.

World Cup Solitaire is the skill game launched at Bwin Games. Though named after the World Cup it has little to do with football except that the cards are deal in a football field with the goal post in the background. The row of cards in the lowest level, which is furthest from the goal, get eliminated first and therefore as the game proceeds it appears that the player is heading to the goal.

Pairs of cards whose total is thirteen can be eliminated. The Kings are eliminated alone. The game ends when all the cards have been eliminated or there are no legal moves left or the player has run out of time. World Cup Solitaire follows a graded system of scoring. The cards from the lowest level are worth 50 points and the lone card in the seventh level is worth 1000 points. In addition bonus points are awarded if the cards happen to be of the same color or suit. Katz said, World Cup Solitaire is a new variant of the classic Solitaire, which should not only appeal to football fans, but other players too.”

Bwin is one of the largest online gambling portals, that offers poker and sports betting along with casino and skill games. The company is based in Austria but the gambling portals are licensed in Gibraltar.
