Cryptologic Ties Up With TGN

March 24, 2009

Close on the heels of its deal with Paramount, Cryptologic has announced a tie up of a different nature. The deal with Paramount will enable Cryptologic to develop slots based on Paramount movie characters. This new deal will allow Cryptologic to offer its online casino software to brands of The Gaming Network (TGN). Some details of the tie up were given by Cryptologic through a press release on the 24th of March from its headquarters in Dublin.

TGN brands consist of some of the most popular online gaming sites in the United Kingdom. The first TGN brand to get the Cryptologic software will be www.lottery.co.uk. The popularity of this brand can be gauged from the fact that it receives more than 2.2 million page views and 800,000 unique visits per month. TGN brands will start getting Cryptologic software from the third quarter of 2009. As a part of the deal Cryptologic will be the exclusive supplier of both download and instant play online casino games to TGN.

Brian Hadfield, the President and CEO of Cryptologic, was pleased at being chosen by a major player in the European online gaming industry. He said that this was due to the popularity and profitability of Cryptologic’s online gaming software. The advantage of tying up with a group like TGN is that the software will be supplied to several leading brands like www.lottery.co.uk, www.bingoboogie.co.uk and www.bingonanza.co.uk. All the TGN brands are licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta.

On his part, Andrew Branscombe, CEO of TGN, too expressed his pleasure with the deal. He said that the hallmarks of the Cryptologic online gaming software were its innovativeness and its entertainment value. He said that TGN would evaluate the feedback of the Cryptologic software from the players on its lottery site before introducing it to their other sites.

Today Cryptologic offers more than 280 online casino games in its suite, with new ones regularly added. It is the market leader in branded slots, which are among the latest and most popular genre of slots. The new branded slots based on Paramount movie characters will come on stream about the same time that Cryptologic starts supplying its software to TGN brands. This will be a double bonanza for the TGN brands. Justin Thouin, Cryptologic’s Vice President, Product Management and Business Development, summed up the deal perfectly when he said, “This deal with The Gaming Network puts Cryptologic’s casino games on successful, high-traffic sites in markets where we continue to grow - and that fits in perfectly with our business strategy.”
